2015/16 Sports Premium

St Helena’s will receive a lump sum of £8000 plus a premium of £5 per pupil per annum, totalling our funding to £8620. The funding must be spent on Physical Education and Games and will be surveyed by Ofsted at the end of the academic year.

During 2015/16 our overall aim remains the same, to raise standards in P.E. and school sport, increasing the participation and opportunities offered to our children. We aim to provide higher quality lessons and improved learning for all.

The funding has allowed for the continued use of specialist PE teachers and support, from Skegness Academy, to deliver high quality PE to KS1 and 2. For more information on our work with the Greenwood Dale Foundation, please visit:

As well as all these competitions, St Helena’s have been proud to welcome a professional golf coach from Sandilands golf club; send 2 children on a gifted and talented residential and hire an inflatable climbing wall for the day. More fun next year!
